Here we go again, as much as I like to see Ghana move forward, I find it heart breaking to see individuals with no knowledge in the industry abusing the little designers we have left. Aside Christie Brown and Duaba serwa we dont have any designers in Ghana that can compete internationally. The rest are just what I call "I AM TRYING" designers, everything they make is just boring and lacks creativity. In my next post to come I will be zooming in closely to the work of so called ghanaian designers and I shall critically dissect their work in my own opinion yes I said it, my own opinion. Anyway, this Akwaaba fashion week show is worrying, who calls a show Akwaaba, I smell ugliness coming through Ghana yet once again, Have they not be watching the Nigerians? Lagos Fashion & Design week, Arise etc who the hell comes out with a wacky ducky name for a show as that. To make matters worse check their logo below, a teddy bear WTF ....Ghanaians will never learn KMT

Good news for Ghana and its fashion industry, with the likes of Christie Brown as ex graduates of the school, I believe more great designers will come of this school institution. Check out the video below:

FASHION 101 PRESENTER SANDRA ANKOBIAH - A FASHION ICON?
Well the ball is in your court you just have to answer it yourself, well for us in the western world Sandra Ankobiah cannot compete with us.....Ghanaians have hopped on to her show because they all dont know any better. Anyhoo, as I peruse on facebook as you do, I came across the fashion 101 fanpage, with Sandra's pictures there, I do agree that she can sometime dress appropriately, what I found worrying was seeing her wearing Velour suit something poor Londoners wear alot during the cold winter times. Now the Velour outfit is for the cold weather my only concern is wearing these things in Ghana and promoting it aswell on facebook now you claim to be a style icon. You know how Ghanaians like to copy blindly very soon you will see all of them wearing leather jacket and ugg boots in Ghana
EXOPA DRUG DEALER GHANA FASHION WEEKEND
As a professional it amazes me to find Ghanaian businesses supporting this drug dealer to represent Ghana fashion to the world. As a Ghanaian I have always wondered how this will reflect on young upcoming Ghanaians to have this man as a role model. For those who do not know the Exopa aka Sima Ibrahim then let me enlighten you.
First of all Exopa is owned by Sima Ibrahim, a slim gay looking man, who apparently use to live either in Nethelands or Germany
GHANA'S EMBARASSING FASHION INDUSTRY - ARE WE BEHIND THE REST OF THE WORLD?
I have always wondered why Ghana is hardly mentioned on the international creative scene, I rested my case after watching this horrible video of Ghana Fashion week 2009 on youtube by the imprisoned Sima Ibrahim. Sima and his EXOPA or should I say HEROINPA do not have a clue do they? I am not surprised that the Nigerians and South Africans are laughing at us. Ghanaians rise up and smell that the fashion & Textile industry is a huge industry and can boost Ghana's economy. Living in New York has opened my eyes well well, last week I attended 3 three shows at the Mercedes Benz NY fashion week and was so impressed and to see this video below makes me wanna puke.....is about time Ghanaians stop seeing fashion shows as an entertainment and begin to see it as a business.
